Part Time Payroll & Benefits Specialist

Tarvos Talent is partnering with a high-growth technology company to hire a Part-Time Payroll & Benefits Specialist. This is a fully remote, interim opportunity supporting a lean and collaborative team during a transition period. If you’re a hands-on payroll professional with BambooHR experience who can step in quickly, work independently, and ensure continuity across payroll and benefits, this role offers flexibility and immediate impact.

Responsibilities

  • Process semi-monthly payroll for a workforce of under 100 employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Administer commission and bonus payments in alignment with internal schedules
  • Own benefits administration, including uploads, updates, and reconciliations across multiple platforms
  • Pull employee contribution data and manage ongoing benefits reporting and maintenance
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure employee changes (new hires, terminations, updates) are accurately reflected in payroll
  • Generate reports from HRIS and support data integrity across systems
  • Ensure compliance with payroll and benefits processes while maintaining organized documentation

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of payroll and benefits administration experience in a hands-on capacity
  • Strong experience with BambooHR 
  • Proven ability to navigate benefit portals and manage data uploads (e.g., Fidelity, Flores, or similar)
  • Ability to operate independently with minimal guidance in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Excel for reporting and data management
