Tarvos Talent is partnering with a fast-growing, well-established venture capital firm in Austin, TX to identify an Assistant Controller. This fully onsite opportunity offers the chance to join an impressive firm with deep involvement in high-growth and IPO-stage companies, giving you a front-row seat to exciting transactions, complex fund activity, and meaningful business growth. This role will oversee fund accounting for a large investment portfolio and offers the opportunity to make a true impact in a highly visible seat. Responsibilities:

• Lead fund accounting activities across a large and growing investment portfolio
• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes with accuracy and ownership
• Prepare and review financial reporting, investor deliverables, capital activity, and supporting schedules
• Support process improvements, internal controls, and special projects as the firm continues to scale

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of accounting experience, with fund accounting or investment industry experience preferred
• Strong technical accounting, financial reporting, and analytical skills
• CPA or public accounting background highly preferred
• Highly proactive, team-oriented mindset with a “no job is too small” approach
